Dr. Billows is an esteemed History Professor at Columbia University. He's specialized in Ancient Greek and Roman History and has authored multiple books illustrating how past events and people have shaped the world, including "Julius Caesar, the Colossus of Rome", "Before and After Alexander” and "The Battle of Marathon".
Author & Historian, Co-Creator of “Rise and Fall of Rome” trip
Dr. Kolbeck is a historian and author specialized in Roman imperialism and early Christianity. He has published widely on topics like the Roman army and Pontius Pilate. He earned history degrees from Durham and Oxford, and a PhD from King's College London. Currently, he lectures at Cambridge University.
Classical Art Historian & Expert Guide
Dr. Corrado is a classical archaeologist specialized in Roman art. She has curated classical art for the RISD Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Vatican Museums. She received her BA and MA in from the University of Chicago, additionally she holds a PhD in Classical Archaeology from Brown University.

Dr. Gardelli is an archaeologist with 20+ years' experience leading digs in Pompeii, Castellammare di Stabia, and Greece. His expertise includes building archaeology, wall paintings, mosaics, and Roman social history. He earned his PhD at Ludwig Maximilians Universität in Munich, Germany.
Each trip is designed to fully immerse you in a nation's narrative. Refined through thousands of hours of travel, trial and error - our mix of history prep, guided visits and social encounters will give you a new sense for what it means to be human.
Before you set off, you'll receive a video series to help fill any historical or geopolitical gaps.
We'll guide you through city streets, galleries and important historical sites.
Your host makes sure you're connected with local insiders, well fed and up-to-speed on the politics.
Whilst our trips are packed with learning, rest assured, this is no school field trip. Expect a vibe more like an epic road trip with a worldly group of friends.
Lunch is a daily affair at handpicked eateries, complemented by surprise treats throughout the trip.
Most trips span 8 days and 7 nights covering 2-3 cities. While on the road, we take the time to enjoy the comforts, cultural delights and people we meet along the way.
